Named After the Man Himself, the Basically Beethoven Fest Brings Free Chamber Music to You
Since 1981, Basically Beethoven Festival has provided North Texas with free chamber music concerts during the month of July, a traditionally slow time for arts events in Dallas. On Sunday, the Festival invites you to enjoy a classical evening of fun!
Every program includes a Rising Star Recital at 2:30 pm and a Feature Performance at 3 pm. Rising Star Recitals present local, gifted young musicians, many of whom are winners of area music contest and concerto competitions, and Feature Performances showcase professional musicians from across the Metroplex. These musicians come from local ensembles and perform a diverse range of music.
This final installment of the Festival will begin with a Rising Star duo: Anais Feller, violin, and Ella Tran, piano. The Feature Performance boasts a flute quartet led by Margaret Fischer, flute.
Admission is free and performances fulfill Fine Arts Chamber Players’ commitment to produce classical music concerts with no barriers to attendance. Festival performances are routinely standing room only—arrive early for the best seats. Performances are easily accessible by public transit and are attended both by longtime arts patrons and area residents who are new to classical music. Families with children are welcome.
The mission of the Fine Arts Chamber Players is to enrich and enhance the quality of life for North Texas area residents, especially families, and children, through free concerts of classical music and educational activities.
Make plans now to attend Basically Beethoven Festival this Sunday afternoon! There is no entry fee. For more information about the festival and the Fine Arts Chamber Players, visit www.fineartschamberplayers.org.
